Note this rule. "so as" together is almost always never correct. "so" + adjective + "as {to}" + verb - is the correct form.

In the given question, evidently, B and C are the only two remaining options, and all others can be eliminated for inconsistency. For thirty years, the scientist has conducted studies and shared her findings....sounds simple, concise, easy on the ears. Maintains a Present Perfect tense structure. I'll go with OA only.

The second has isn't necessary because it is implied. Parallel structures function very similarly to the distributive property in mathematics; "She has (A'd and B'd)" is the same meaning as "(She has A'd) and (has B'd)" because the 'has' distributes across the 'and'. This omission of certain implied words is known as 'Elipsis', and is a tricky but necessary part of GMAT sentence correction.

Answer is C for reasons marked in red. "So as" together is incorrect in GMAT

I figured C because of the concision. What would happen of the option b also has "in an effort?"

C is the best option.

my pick is (C).

a) shares her findings with the general public in an effort - shares is wrong - we need present perfect
b) has shared her findings with the general public so as - so as is wrong
c) shared her findings with the general public in an effort - (has) shared is present perfect and in an effort is correct
d) will share her findings with the general public so as - will share and so as is wrong
e) would share her findings with the general public in an effort - would share is wrong
