A. a job that required – a job is following tools, as if tools are a job. So wrong.

B. as a job requiring - wrong for the same reasons cited above
C. is the right choice, for using - [b]requiring [/b]- a present particle to describe “horsehair bows’ careful construction”


D tools - as a requirement- tools is not a requirement
E. Tools - to require – wrong idiom.

requiring
as a requirement
to require


in a and b, job can not avoid fraying and loos of elasticity. no logic. a and b out

in d, requrement can not connect with a high lever grammatically. d is out.

c and e are left. very hard to eliminate e. adverd verb of purpose is not logic. adverb of explaining the main verb is logic as in the case of choice c

daagh , what is "requiring " modifying ??
is it the tools? or the phrase " bows were carefully constructed tools" ?? ... the later is followed by a comma +verb-ing modifier ... so essentially shouldnt it modify the preceding "Action" ( were constructed carefully tools) ?

a verb-ing modifier when followed by a comma , modifies the preceding action !! please respond
