"tispot" Congrats!....awesome.....thank you for your wonderful debrief!
I am almost exactly in the same situation right now as you were in for your first attempt in June.
I am stuggling with verbal struck at 25 and quant at 44.
I have my exam on Sept 8, 2009. So, I have exactly one more month to study, it will be really helpful if you can tell me what exactly I have to concentrate now in order to improve my scores in both Quant and Verbal.
My preparation till now:
Completed :
OG 12 - PS, DS - till 120 questions(will complete when time permits)
SC: Manhattan SC guide, completed
OG 11 - SC, started with
OG 12 - SC
RC: will be completing
OG 12 - RC in few days.
CR: my main problem is this section.....I was little fine doing CR from
OG 12....but after 55th question till 102 my strike rate dropped drastically.....i am not sure if the questions were tough or I reached the saturation point in CR?
So, I stopped working on
OG 12 CR right now and ordered Manhattan SC - CR book to know how to solve the CR's. I feel i am unable to understand how to solve CR's? Any ideas on this section will be very fruitful too....!
My recent scores in
MGMAT: I started with giving
Manhattan GMAT's:
6/7/2009
MGMAT 1 - 460 (Q 39, V16)
6/14/2009
MGMAT 2 - 520 (Q 43, V 18)
6/27/2009
MGMAT 3 - 510 (Q39, V21)
8/2/2009
MGMAT 4 - 580 (Q44, V25)
You can see that I could improve only by 70 points after the preparation for 1 month only on verbal from my last exam.
I am pretty much confident that i can improve on quant, if I stop making careless mistakes and learn few concepts. But verbal is the sucking part it is improving very slowly.
"tispot" I would definitely need your suggestion and also all fellow GMATTERS.....who are religiously working on your preparation....please throw some insights!
I once again thank you all for your active participation and wonderful support for all the forum members.
Thanks,
Mohan
