Hi everyone,
First of all I would like to thank all people that are involved with this forum - they do a great job!
I would like to kindly ask your advice on the strategy and on what should I focus on considering the whole picture?
My story is the following - I am not a native speaker and I have a background in physics (GPA 4.0/4.0 in both BS and MS), but I am not used to solve problems by plugin numbers, or guessing. My last official score is 720 (Q49, V38, IR7, AWA 5.5) and I have 4 weeks to prepare and to boost it to 740-760 with at least Q50. On my last exam I got very tough IR, and that just completely ruined my mood; maybe that also had some impact on the overall performance. Attached is my ESR.
I have spent around 4 months preparing to get 720, and 1.5months before that I had another try with a result of 690. What I've already done:
1) Solved all 6 Official CATs at least twice. First time I solved them with IR and AWA.
First try - 650, second try - 740
First try - 690, second try - 740
First try - 700, second try - 760
First try - 680, second try - 740
First try - 710, second try - 770
First try - 730, second try - 780
In all of the first tries I never achieved a score of Q50; most of the time it was Q48-Q49. On second tries - most of the time I got Q50, sometime Q51. The main problem as I felt - lack of knowledge for specific problems such as work rate, speed, etc. But when I understood the concepts everything went smoothly with that. I always feel prepared for every kind of problem, but by some reason when I get something very peculiar, that ruins the whole process.
2) Solved 4
MGMAT CATs - with the score between 650-690
3) Passed
E-gmat SC and walked trough
e-gmat CR, RC
4) Solved twice almost all problems in
Magoosh Math
5) Solved all
OG math problems and almost all official verbal problems
6) Solved twice half of the club math problems
7) Got through math revolution - not a good decision with very little effect
8) I still have around 9 club math CATs and almost all verbal CATs.
On top of the above, I tried to carefully review all problems that I got wrong. So it was not just going once through the materials.
Now I am a bit lost, since I've solved almost everything and still can't get Q50 and target score of 740-760. I also had some personal issues, so had to take a break from study for 3 weeks, and that also dreads me, since I have a feeling that lost all my skills, that I've been diligently working on.
Thank you in advance for your help and advice.
