let the sticker price be x
store B price = .75x
store A price= .85x-90

ATQ, Heather saves 15 $ by buying computer from store A
That means store A price is 15 $ less than B

i.e .75x - (.85x-90)=15
0.10x=75
x=750

I will go with the option D.
Let the sticker price be x.

(((85x/100)-90) -(75x/100))=15
This yields x=1050

I reversed the subtraction. Missed the logic here. thanks for the explanation.

solve it by plugin options
A= 750*.85-90 = 547.5
B= 750*.75 = 562.5
difference = 15%

Letting n = the sticker price of the computer, we can create the equation:

0.85n - 90 = 0.75n - 15

0.1n = 75

n = 750

Answer: A
