Re: how much to study to go from 440 to 700+ ? [#permalink]
Hi vidurkatyalji

It looks like you need a study plan that you can stick to. Here is a customized 2-3 month study plan that can help boost your score: https://www.gmatpill.com/gmat-practice-t ... study-plan

Use this as a guideline. You don’t have to follow it exactly but the structure of the study plan should be the same structure that you take in your approach. This helps to optimize your retention and learning.

As you study, we recommend that you focus on one particular subsection for multiple consecutive days before moving onto the next. You can see this in our study plan where we recommend 5 days on nothing but SC -- before moving onto CR and then RC.

Here is a sample SC video to help you start your journey: https://www.gmatpill.com/sentencecorrect ... ythons.mp4

Best of luck - we are here to help.

Hi vidurkatyalji,

From your question I understand you have 3 problems viz. What to study, from where to study and when to study. Below two possible solutions can solve this problem for you.

So, if you are good at planning things, have a decent amount of self control, then go for self study to improve your score. For this I would recommend you to buy the complete set of Manhattan books and follow them religiously by creating a timeplan of your own or following any of the tumeplans mentioned in gmatclub forums. The timeplans from gmatclub would be very helpful for you.

The other thing which you can do is just register for online preparation course at either eGMAT or Veritas or Manhattan or MAgoosh. These courses will guide your learning step by step through online video courses. They also provide you with a timeplan that you can follow. some of them provide few tests as well.

You can choose self study or online preparation depending on your strength and weakness.

The online preparation is a bit more costly than the self study. Rest is up to you.
