If a water tank is being filled at a rate of 2 cubic feet per minute [#permalink]
Inflow rate into the tank: 2 cubic feet/min;
Leakage: 0.1 cubic feet/ 10 seconds which is nothing but 0.6 cubic feet/min
Hence, Effective inflow: 1.4 cubic feet/min
Now, volume of the tank: 7ft*2ft*2ft = 28 cubic feet
Therefore, time taken to fill the tank: 28 cubic feet/ 1.4 cubic feet/min i.e 20 minutes which is nothing but 1/3 hours.
Hence, the correct option is option C.
