In the terminating decimal equivalent of d, what is the number of nonzero digits to the right of the decimal point?

(1) d = 5 + 416/1,000
(2) The terminating decimal equivalent of d has one nonzero digit to the left of the decimal point.

Kudos for a correct solution.

The correct answer is A.

Statement 1 is clearly sufficient
Statement 2 doesn't tell us the number of digits on right of decimal point but rather tells the number of digits on left of decimal point, so insufficient

correct answer - A
