one sentence i picked up: At INSEAD, we have alumni interviewing our candidates. This aspect of the admissions process is unique to us, and it’s invaluable as the interviewer is then able to assess the candidate as if they were a classmate.

Congrats to all the R2 who have been invited to interview. I also pored over the Clear Admit guide (and bought it, which was stupid as it's just a copy & paste of what's on the free wiki). My advice: don't overprepare. Focus on the 4 main questions:

1. Why MBA?
2. Why INSEAD?
3. Why now?
4. Be able to defend your long term goal.

Also good to be able to mention what you'd like to do outside of class at INSEAD and how you plan to leverage the network (not good enough just to say you want the network - what are you going to do with it?). I mentioned specifics (e.g. The Dash).

I think it's also very important to find common ground with the interviewers. In my case both of them were expats in their mid-30s living in Singapore for many years, so I used this to find some common themes outside the typical interview questions.

Hi everyone,

I just got my first interview today. It took place in the bar of a 5 star hotel in Paris and lasted 2.5h!

Interviewer was from an HR background and created his own company doing HR consulting, coaching and Talent management.

Was a very relax discussion, he didn't try to make it difficult or make me feel uncomfortable, and we covered all the classics:
- walk through resume
- describe company/position, explain market where you work
- justify career choices
- what I learnt in each of my experiences
- why an MBA?
- why now? why not earlier?
- why not an EMBA later?
- why INSEAD compared to other European programs?
- what other programs I applied to?
- what to do after INSEAD? what to do if not accepted?
- any extra-curricular activities
- what I would bring to INSEAD alumni

Being from an HR background we spent a lot of time discussing about career evolution inside my company (who initiated promotions, how proactive initiatives by employees were handled) and also HR policy regarding management of headcounts, international mobility, ways future talents are identified, trained, coached and promoted.

I've asked a few questions about INSEAD and the experience he gained from his MBA.

Despite what INSEAD or others said, none of my interviewers actually matches my professional background (other one is in Insurance). Spoke with AN who explained to me it was quite challenging for her to find alumni accepting to run interviews in August in France as many people are on holidays.

She also said the Admission committee would take place first week of September, so we shouldn't expect any answer before this date.

you have to submit the application no matter what stage you're in. then you can keep going back and modifying it. your changes will get saved

i had similar issue, not sure if this is the issue you guys are getting, the scholarship application says session timed out and nothing was saved. What I did, i fill up everything with some random input quickly and save the application, then I start editing each entry with the right input and save from time to time. I managed to finish the application this way. Hope this helps.

WOW just got a call from Carol today and an email - got accepted! I was on the waitlist for about 2 months, R1 applicant. Most nerve breaking experience ever! Hang in there! And good luck to all!!!

Got the call from IR about 2 hours ago!!! Admitted!!! Start in singy! I am crying for joy now!! Congratulations to the others and finger crossed for those that are waiting!!! Ah.. Forget to mention I am from brazil!

Guess final countdown has begun..anyone heard from SH?

Congrats and welcome all R2 admits! For those who are wait-listed, hang on and start focusing on other schools while trying to bolster your INSEAD candidacy by extra recommendations, professional or personal add ons (already shared by other people)

Below is some info on admits from US and Canada (search based on Nationality including people holding multiple nationalities regardless of geographic location)
