Is \(n\) an integer?

(1) \(3n^2\) is an integer --> if n = 2, then the answer is YES but if \(n = \sqrt{2}\), the answer is NO. Not sufficient.

(2) \(\frac{\sqrt{n}}{3}\) is an integer --> \(\frac{\sqrt{n}}{3}=integer\) --> \(\sqrt{n}=3*integer\) --> \(n = 9*integer^2=integer\). Sufficient.

Answer: B.
