The Equilateral triangle has all sides equal and all angles equal to 60º

Statement 1: x = y

Two angles are same but the third angle may or may NOT be same as other two hence, the triangle may be Isosceles or equilateral

NOT SUFFICIENT

Statement 2: z = 50

Equilateral triangle has each angle equal to 60º but here third angle is not 60 hence triangle is definitely NOT equilateral
SUFFICIENT

Answer: option B
