In my opinion, you probably can indeed get as much out of an online class as regular class. It largely depends on how much confidence you have and how much specific attention you feel you need. If you're fairly confident that you can work through the material and bolster your weaknesses on your own, then an online course may be worth it.
Also, one advantage of real-world courses is that they simply force people to stick to a schedule and prepare for the test in time. If you are confident that you have enough discipline to get it done on your own, then an online course can work for you.
