Many cruise lines advertise that their cruises are a good vacation cho [#permalink]
OE
Answer is D
If arthritis is “exacerbated by cold, damp climates,” a sufferer would not want to take cruise to northern Canada and Alaska, regions with chilly, damp climates.
Choices A and B would seem to support the claim.
Choice C is irrelevant.
Choice E doesn’t factor in the fact that the ships are well equipped for passengers with disabilities so they must have elevators.

Option E is not correct because it strengthens the conclusion. Why not choose a ship with high standard in everything?

Hello,

Can someone please explain why are we ruling out Choice E?

Choice E says dining and entertainment facilities are on higher levels and cabins on lower four levels. This means for dining and entertainment people may have to go to higher floors. Given that we have been asked about people with Arthritis, having dining and entertainment facilities on higher floors is a disadvantage.

Here I think level means floors, since it also says 'cabins on lower four levels'.
Just putting it out there since one of the replies to one of the posts on this question says that Choice E is a stregthener since it specifies faicilities have high standards.

Thanks and Regards,

i doubt the quality of this question as the source is also not stated. also your reasoning is correct if we assume the ships don't have adequate facilities for arthritis in lifts etc.
D also has the flaw that we are assuming 1. it is the colder season of the colder area. 2. the option states that they are well built according to the colder areas like Canada so anyway it doesn't strengthen
