Hmmm......close to call. Way it turns out, your test scores are actually NOT the stumbling block. Most places you target will be ok with the 800 in quant (GRE) and even the GMAT score, though a 600+ would have definitely helped there. Nevertheless, even a 570 with 49Q will be good enough.

Your issue is not having a bachelor's in business/finance/economics. Most MS in Finance programs will require an undergraduate background in these subjects OR relevant work experience. Your undergraduate bachelors is in engineering but the PGDIM in insurance will help.

Judging from all the previous apps I have worked on for the schools I mentioned, I think you will still stand a chance. The key will be in how you frame your application. For instance, I know SSE is very particular about the courses that you have done, besides just your work-ex. Make sure that you tie in your education and work-ex closely to your future goals and your test score potential.

Finally, if it is only the top ranked US programs you want to target, then I would recommend higher scores to be able to do that.
