Hello,
I have been following many posts in gmat club and infact using a lot of resources here. I started my prep somewhere in jan and booked the date of 12th march for my exam. I took one gmat prep test and got 680 then. I am giving thr break-up of all the tests i have taken so far-
14 Jan--- 680 Q49 V28 (GMAT prep 2)
2 Feb--- 600 Q48 V28 (
MGMAT 1)
18th Feb--- 640 Q38 V38 (
MGMAT 2)
26 Feb--- 690 Q46 V38 (
MGMAT 3)
29 Feb--- 680 Q51 V 35 (Veritas Prep free test)
5 Mar--- 680 Q 47 V 35 (Knewton free test)
6 Mar--- 690 Q49 V 35 (
MGMAT 5)
(wasted
mgmat 4 and gmat prep 1---had to leave them in between so wasted them altogether)
My target had been atleast 740 but even after rigorous prep and consulting gmat club and doing
OG-10,11 & 12, I am not able to improve the score. Though I do feel that I have improved and i now have clear concepts than i had before. but still I am not able to improve upon the score.
Except for
MGMAT, I have been finishing quant section 30 mins before the time. I end up doing silly mistakes in quant and have tried to minimize them as much as i can and still doing.
For verbal, I am never able to complete the section, Though i do wild guesses at the end when i am left with 1 min and 5 questions. No matter how much I try to finish on time, I am never able to finish the verbal section. Also, I have realized that i lose focus and tend to get lost in RCs in the verbal section. I dont think concept-wise there is some problem now. One more thing, I mostly get hyper while attempting verbal section specially when i see the clock ticking and the number of questions I am left with.
Please advise how to overcome this. I really want to get my desired scores but my mocks say otherwise. I have my test next Monday. I am writing here as a last resort as I couldn't get enough insights from friends.
Thanks in advance
Priyanka
