A is clearly the right answer....

B, C compare scholars with conclusions.
In D, meaning gets changed.
In E subject doesn't agree with verb: mythologists---has is wrong

A seems the most probable answer.

(A) Unlike other scholars, the eminent mythologist has concluded
Correct: compares scholars with mythologist
(B) Unlike other scholars, the eminent mythologist’s conclusion
Incorrect: compares scholars with conclusion; its a wrong comparison
(C) Unlike other scholars, the eminent mythologist’s conclusion is
Incorrect: compares scholars with conclusion; its a wrong comparison
(D) Unlike those of other scholars, the eminent mythologist’s conclusions are
Incorrect: meaning is distorted.
(E) The eminent mythologists, unlike those of other scholars, has concluded
Incorrect: Subject-Verb disagreement. mythologists----has is wrong..

But the ques doesn't seem like a 700 level..... Any views?
