Nothing here yet either.

Same here but it's only been about 3 weeks since my interview. I'm hoping we'll hear something this month. If not, we will definitely get an update on the 4/3 R2 decision date.

Nothing here either. Interviewed over a month ago.

I believe that we won't here anything before R1 deposit deadline which is on 03/13.
I hope that I'm wrong.

That makes sense. I'll stop stressing myself out until then.

Thanks for the info Freetz, I was wondering when that R1 deposit was due... I definitely agree, we should be updated between 3/13 and 4/3.

R2 international applicant (Indian) but residing in US. Got an interview invite a few hours ago. I was planning on doing an on campus interview. Can someone who has visited the UCLA campus please let me know whether a car is the best way to commute to and from the airport to the campus? Are there alternative cheaper modes of transportation?

congrats!! Although I am still waiting for an invitation...
you can simply search"LAX to UCLA" in google and you can get this:
https://www.astro.ucla.edu/~rene/lax.html
I came to visit the campus and had a class visit in February. The campus is really good. Enjoy the interview and the sunshine of LA!!

I don't know, probably, there are some cheaper ways, but when I was on campus, I rented a car. From my experience, taxi in LA is expensive and is not easy to get, nothing compared to NY's, buses are not reliable at all, car is the most convenient way to explore LA and UCLA in particular.

thanks for the insights matsu913 and alena0802. I'm probably tending towards renting a car as I will be out there on a Saturday and will fly back on Sunday. With a car i can potentially explore the campus and surrounding neighborhood better.

Hi all,

I will be interviewing on Campus on Mar 13th in the afternoon. Anyone interviewing on the same day? Will be good to catch up. Please PM if you are in the campus that day.

All the best all the folks who are waiting to get an interview invite or for the final decision. Don't lose hope!

There is the LAX FlyAway shuttle which goes from Westwood to LAX for around $10, I believe. I used it several times while in undergrad at UCLA.

I'd say the easiest way to explore the campus and Westwood Village is on foot because it's relatively compact and parking could be an issue. However there are plenty of fun areas nearby that you would need a car for such as Santa Monica to the west and West Hollywood to the East.
