Hey,
Yes, I did feel like it helped significantly, because you are giving your candidacy a whole other side.. bringing it to life (or killing it all together hehe) but It definitely helps.. as you work in groups the one or two members of the adcom are around, but they dont hover over you taking notes... its more like they blend in.. and join you, asking questions, laughing, etc, its hard to remain concious that you are being observed.. It is a day long experience so you may be nervous at first ut you eventually ease up and enjoy it, especially if you remain engaged in the whole process and not day dream, because you can be cold called... I would definitely recommend that you go if you can..
Thanks for the info, Sunshine! I have a few more questions, if you have a minute.
First, how many people made it to the event? Do you have a rough estimate?
Second, how big was the group you were in to work the case?
Finally, did they give you any indication of how long it would be until you recieved a decision?
I've been looking for info on the assessment day on the web, but the links I find are interviews with admissions personnel and don't give any sort of details.
Thanks again!
