Dear Linda,

Please evaluate my profile.


Indian Male

Age : 25 (Dec - 1987)

Work Experience :
Business intelligence Delivery offshore lead and Senior application Specialist. Lead team of 10 member. Handling US clients from last 3.5+ years.
Total Experience of 4 years and it is with one of the world's largest consulting firms .
Handled various sector clients --> Finance, telecommunication and media.

Responsibilities :

As Offshore Application delivery lead handled technical, people and management work.
People Management : This includes staffing, coaching, mentoring, employee assessment and effort hours tracking.
Technical and Delivery lead : Client requirement gathering, Application development and support, Escalation handling, etc. Managerial reporting.

Achievements in Work experience
So far received 15 awards in 4 years. Received 3 most Organization's most prestegious awards at India Level
Got two promotions. Leadership recognized my career as one of the fastest career growth.
One of best trainer for Business Intelligence Application.
IBM DataStage (Business intelligence tool) certified.

GMAT Score:
Current Gmat practice test score is around 640.

Undergrad Info:
B.E in Computer Engineering with 58 % from Thadomal Shahani Engineering college, Mumbai (Bombay) University. This is one of the top engineering colleges in India. GPA around 3.0

Extra-Curricular
Chief Event organizer for people events in Organization. Formed and lead team to organize events. So far organized 50 events. Audience size from 100-500 people.
In education time --> Hostel student representative for 2 years.
International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) event initiated and organized events for 2 years in Mumbai, Bandra area. This was done non-profit basis. Event audience about 200 people.
Tabla (Indian Classical musical instrument player --> completed 3 levels out of 7. Performed in 3 stage shows.
Photography --> participated in many contests.

Target specialization :
Consulting, Information Management, General Management
Also checking for MS - MIS.

Also if possible please let me know scholarship possibility.

Assuming a 640 GMAT, look into Boston College, Purdue, U of Illinois - Urbana Champagne, University of Santa Clara, SMU Cox, and Arizona State University.

Do you think it is safe to rely on these schools? How are the placements records? Could you please suggest few more "safe" list school for my profile(I feel my profile is strong)?
Do you think I will get Scholarship?
Please help me here because I have to start applying schools at the earliest.

I think you have a competitive profile for the suggested programs, but frankly I work more with higher ranked programs. Regarding placement records, please check the schools' employment reports and ask to connect with recent alumni and current 2nd year students in your field of interest. Santa Clara is probably a safety.
