First off thanks for taking the time to respond. You must be a thousand places at once because I see your name everywhere when it comes to b-school admissions.

To clarify my earlier post, my GPA probably isn't really a 3.4... I mean, that's what it says on my state school transcript, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't factor the actual grades from my advanced standing courses - it just considers them for the purposes of credit. I did have a really big, ~3 year sustained turnaround though. I think that when I was a candidate for my commission in the Navy there was some kind of conversion process whereby my two transcripts were combined to arrive at a composite gpa, but that was fairly transparent to me and I never saw a number or anything. I imagine a b-schools probably do something similar for applicants who attended more than one school for undergrad?

I waiting to really target schools until after I take the GMAT next month, but in the interest of maximizing my chances across the board I think I'll go forward with these classes. As you said, it can't hurt.

Thanks for weighing in

You're most welcome. Sounds like a good plan.
