Stern (NYU) Part-Time Class of 2017: Calling all applicants!

I submitted my application on 5/13, and received the account email on 5/24.

I submitted my application on 5/5 and received my password on 5/24 as well --- I keep telling myself that I will find out in July so that I am not checking that website every hour, although i know an applicant last year that found out the first week of June...


*GMAT: 750/98% overall (Verbal: 44, Quant: 49, Integrated Reasoning: 6.0)
*Undergrad: Went to NYU Stern Undergrad, double majoring in Finance and Accounting - 3.94 overall GPA
*Work experience: 3 years --- 1.5 years Investment Banking, 1.5 years Corporate Finance at Fortune 500
*Activities: some but definitely a weaker area
*Strong recommendations from direct supervisor and VP (Stern Alumni)

Okay, well over the past three weeks I have been studying and taken gone over the Manhattan Foundations of Gmat Math book as and have completed all of the questions in the book. As described earlier, I first took the exam blind and got a terrible 500. In the past 3 weeks, my practice tests seems to be consistent at the 570 mark, which is still by no means good but is showing improvement.

I have already applied to NYU stern (part time) with my application on hold until I re-take the GMAT again (likely mid-late June) of which I am hoping for at least a 600.

Below is my current bio submitted to NYU..

-I have a 3.2 cumulative GPA in accounting w/ a CPA license.
-Since college, I have only worked for one firm, a Big 4 accounting firm and have been promoted since starting.
-Great letters of recommendation from top ranked positions w/i my firm; good essays; multiple extra-circulars
-I took the GMAT's practically blind and scored a horrendous 500, which I do not think reflects my over intelligence in any way. However, I had to take the exam to complete the application and took the exam w/ little preparation during a very strenuous busy season.
-I have done work with a few "start up companies" which have recently been bought out by some of the largest internet companies in the world so I have some experience outside the accounting field within entrepreneurship.
-also have 100% sponsorship from employer as they are more than happy to be flexible w/ work/life balance and are willing to pick up the entire bill. Not sure if that helps in ANY way?

I know that I will probably need AT LEAST a 600 to even been considered, but my only concern is timing as I know NYU is rolling admissions and basis their decisions on a first come first serve basis. With that being said, should I move my exam up as soon as possible or continue to prepare and wait until later in June to submit my scores? Not sure how I should handle this situation?

Any advice would be very helpful!

Has anyone heard anything yet? I am impatiently refreshing my e-mail 4 times per day... lol.
Since it's already 2nd week of June, answers should begin trickling in soon.

GPA: 3.0, top 8 SLAC, double major in Math and Computer Science
WE: 7 1/2 years (with 9 mos unemployed at one point)-- transitioning into a new role at work right now which I talked about in my essays
Activities: captain of a college varsity team, not much since
Recs: I assume they were good

Congratulations for all those who got in!! I have sent in all the pieces of my app before May 15 except for my current supervisor's recommendation which he submitted on May 28. Do any of you know whether I need to wait all the way until Aug 1 to get a notification?

Received an invitation to interview. Never heard of anyone interviewing for part-time... Should I be really worried?
