Hi,

Is it incidental that both the invitees have a very high GMAT score? Are the applications sorted based on the GMAT score? Then it is a long wait for me before I get a call on my 700(if at all I get a call) :)

Yes I saw the pattern too. Well I guess high GPAs and GMAT scores sure catches attention. And if that is the case, I have a long wait.

Thanks luisoc1985 for posting this. However I am surprised to find out we need to send hard copies of the original transcripts? Is this what all schools do? I mean can I ask my school for more than one original transcript? Even if my school gives me one, it will take almost a month for me to get the transcript. Then how can I mail this to the USA with in one month? I am new to this process. So please bear with me. Anyone?

Best,
Prodizy

I'm not in the US and will use skype, so no relation with being close to LA. Skype interviews start next week and mine will be in about 10 days.

Thats true. It takes a while to get the transcripts to the b-school even if you ask your undergrad college to send the transcripts directly to the b-school. In my experience, Anderson is the only school that asks for the transcripts so early in the process. Most of the schools expect the transcripts after making the admission offer.

I submitted on 15 Oct and have not yet heard about an interview. Anything other than bad news is good news! If I get an interview, I am not looking forward to requesting ALL transcripts w/in 30 days. As a military man, I've taken classes at a lot of institutions (I have a 6 transcripts in total!).

I'm surprized by how quickly the Adcom is reviewing applications!
Anybody find details from previous years' threads about a similar turn around time and/or early interview invites going out to candidates with high Gmat scores?

Prodizy,

Yes, you can ask for more than one transcript. These would be certified and come as a sealed envelope.
I'm not sure if all schools do this, but I know Sloan has this policy as well.

If it takes time, better start now! Better safe than sorry I'd say, considering that you will be asked for transcripts somewhere down the line.

I doubt if they have the applications filtered on GMAT score, still that is an interesting thought.
But at the end of the day, what matters is whether you received an invite or not.
The only difference would be that dreaded long wait

I wouldn't be too worried, they either auto interview or move high gmats to the top of their pile (since I submitted literally an hour or two before deadline). They just haven't gotten to your application yet.

Quick question - do all the transcripts we send need to be in the original school-sealed envelope?

Hi Everyone. I received an interview invite last night as well. I submitted my app 6 hours before the deadline on Wednesday. Great to get the invitation, but am very surprised at the quick turnaround, considering my metrics aren't high.

Didn't seem like UCLA had a lot of space to put down all the EC's and Entrepreneurial Work, so I'm quite surprised by the invite, but more than gracious and humble.

I submitted day before the deadline and received an invite last night.

Super excited :-D Any tips out there on interview prep?

Also, does anybody know if the official transcript they require would need to be sealed? I have an open one sitting next to me that I could submit in person... :)
