Dear Linda, This is my third post. Needless to say I have found your advice in my previous post most helpful !! Thanks !!!
I am applying for Ross. You have evaluated my chances earlier and suggested that Ross may be stretch for my profile (690/Indian/6 years in IT/Limited Volutary-Extra curricular Activity). Ross continue to be my first choice and I am working rather hard to get my essays right.
The Ross application does not have one of those personal background essay questions. The essay will be about my mother and how she has raised me against great odds to be where I am today. She really is a big influence. I am wondering if I can put this under the optional question which asks me to "elaborate on any other information that the admissions committee can use to assess candidacy"?
I have no gaps in career/education which needs explanation. Is there anything else I can put under this essay ?
Thanks for your time.
Yes, you can use the optional essay to tell the school about your personal background.
