Hello Friends:
Please allow me to introduce myself. I love GMAT.
Writing the GMAT turned out to be a defining moment in my life. I wouldn't be where I am if it weren't for this community.
The community helped me go from 650 to 710 and then on to 750.
My GMAT score got me a part time job as a quantitative aptitude instructor in a GMAT coaching institute. Few months into the job, I fell in love with teaching and training. I moved to Bangalore to pursue a full time career as a teacher/trainer. A year back, I quit that job and started my own training and development company in partnership with three others. In the last four years, I have interacted with over 30,000 students and those interactions helped me define my mission.
MISSION
Transform the way people learn
GUIDING BELIEF
No student must feel that he or she is not capable of learning what he or she wants
PURPOSE OF THIS THREAD
The purpose of this thread is to set, track, and achieve milestones along my application journey. I am applying for the first round of the Fall 2016 intake.
So join me in this journey to boldly go where I have never gone before.

What I learned so far from the admission consultants on the GMAT Club:
1. I have a killer GMAT score and a non-typical profile that can be leveraged to create a strong application.
2. I am in a position to present myself as a strong candidate for any business school within the top 15 ranks.
3. There are three things that matter in a strong application: GOALS... GOALS... GOALS...
Action for today: Use the goal setting process I found on youtube to get clear on my post MBA goals
I'll post my learning later on. Have a nice day.

Hello there 
I used a guided meditation audio on goal setting and the results were marvelous. I have a call with an admission consultant in the evening and I am preparing for the same.
Result:
1. Identified the industry I want to work in and they are as follows:
a) Instructional Design
b) Ed Tech
c) Human Performance Technology
2. Identified the function I'd perform in the organization and the reason why:
a) Short Term - Product Development Manager
b) Mid Term - Product Development Head
c) Long Term - CEO
3. Identified the country where I want to work and the reasons for the same
a) US because:
1. Most of the companies that I want to work in are headquartered in the US
2. Trends in the industry emerge in the US sooner than it does else where
3. Education specific venture capitalists are more accessible in the US
4. Education is a viable career option in the US and thus, I can acquire young people who can be mentored to assume leadership positions and carry on my work
4. Identified my strengths and they are as follows:
1. Creative and Innovative
2. Communicative
3. Patient and Persistent
4. Leadership
(Also wrote examples from my life to prove those claims and thought of people who will vouch for and corroborate the same.)
5. Achieved clarity on how my past experience in the education sector set me up to assume the role I chartered for my future.
All in all.. It was a real kick!
