Some more thoughts:
1. The facebook group for EWMBA class of 2018 currently has 151 members. A quick review of the members seem to indicate a handful (20-25) of AdCom and current students. Assuming some of those admitted don't have a facebook account or have not yet joined that group, and also assuming that AdCom tries to admit roughly the same number of admits each round (R3+R4 is considered one round), we have 240/3 = 80, which means that roughly 160 admits have been handed out till now.
2. USnews full compass account has the updated statistics for the EWMBA class of 2017. According to them, there were 680 applications, 293 were admitted, out of which 253 accepted and are currently enrolled. If we can expect similar numbers this year, then AdCom should hand out at least 80-100 admits tomorrow. This brings the number from 160 to 260 total admits. If ~30 admitted will enroll somewhere else, they will keep ~40 or ~50 in waitlist and admit 30 more by july end.
3. The Haas website for last year's class profile lists only the median gmat score, which is 700. USnews also lists the average gmat score, which is 692. AdCom won't let the gmat stats go down compared to last year's stats, so we can expect at least 130 admitted students to have gmat of 700+. So depending on how the first two rounds went, this could be a key factor for R3, R4 admits.
Excellent analysis. I guess we can all speculate, but we find out the validity of all of our theories tomorrow.
It's going to be soooo difficult to work tomorrow.
-As listed above, from the fb group, 130 seems to be students, rest student/staff.
-Did some more analysis on this list of people admitted in R1/R2. Looks like there are close to 60 folks from tech, rest from non-tech and some(~19) could not be deduced
-Roughly 70 of them Asians (this is an approximation just based on how names sound, but could be US citizens too
)
(For what its worth, this is just helping me keep my sanity now)
