Ross(Michigan) Class of 2017: Calling all Admitted Students

Yup got the email shortly after this post. Is there any way to check the WES status if they processed it? or would we just get an email once the verification is completed? For some odd reason, I could not manually check the status myself since the ref# is restricted to academic institutions. Is this the same for you guys?

And what does this email say? Not sure if I got the right one

Its an email from WES enumerating some deliverables you need to send to them before they can certify your academic record for Ross. The Ref# is also included in the email.

And you got it on the 24th. Right?

I received it on the 26th.

Alright, so I am "in" the MBA program and the initial euphoria has now given way to anxiety and stress of how to figure out the finance for the Ross MBA. I am an Indian national and have been working in the US for the past 5 years and paid my taxes duely every year. Being a public university I was under the impression that Michigan would also have scholarships and grants available for international students, but for almost every grant or scholarship you either need to be either a citizen or a permanent resident. I will be taking a private loan to fund at least the first year of the MBA and then figure out the rest of the funding later. Unlike the private universities I could not find much for international students in Michigan. Any help on scholarships or grants available for International or specifically Indian students will be highly appreciated. Also, are GAships available for MBA students at Michigan?

I got through Ross in R1. Working with an IB in India. Really excited to be a part of Michigan's vibrant community (2017 full-time MBA)

Just wished to confirm if anyone of you is aware of any Facebook / https://gmatclub.com/chat group where all the Ross admits (2017) have been interacting.

Secondly, there is a facebook group for "International MBAs from India - Class of 2017" and a huge get together is being planned somewhere around the last week of June in Mumbai. I intend to attend it but don't know if other ROSS MBA candidates from India are aware of this function. Would really be a wonderful opportunity for networking. I would strongly recommend all Indians going to any of the MBA colleges abroad (especially in USA) to be a part of it. Many Wharton, Booth, Coulmbia, Kellogg, Fuqua etc. candidates are already members of the group and several have expressed their interest in the event. Let us initiate a ROSS thread as well on this FB page.

Are we supposed to get a mail from Re Vera conforming the background check clearance? I have received the Academic verification complete mail from WES, but nothing from Re Vera. Anybody?

I received my ReVera confirmation from Ross.

Thanks justbequiet. When did you receive the mail? I had initiated the process on June 1 and it has been 6 weeks since. The mailer said the process takes 4 to 6 weeks.

Is there anybody else who has not yet received the mail?

mine took around 4 weeks before I received the confirmation.

i also got a confirmation that my re vera background check was complete. it was prob 3 weeks after i had to submit supplemental info (my company wouldn't release employment info without SSN) and 5 weeks total.
