IMO: B
from 1 we can't calculate the price of either car or house .
from 2 , we know price of house is 4 times that of car.Thus, we can find the price of individual product.

Given: Price of car, c = (M/100)*bank savings
Price of house, h= 4c
(1) M=12,Bank savings not given . Hence insufficient.
(2) c+ h= 140000
c+ 4c = 140000, which gives the value of c and hence, price of house could be found. Sufficient.
Answer - B
Price of house, h= 4c

12% of bank savings. But we don't know how much was bank savings. Not sufficient.
(2) The price of the car and the house was $140,000.
x+4x= 140,000
We can find the value of x and then the price of home.
B is the answer
