Testing Centers visits - prior to the exam day [#permalink]

Guys,

Most people advise visiting the Test center prior to the exam to lessen the stress and to familiarize yourself with the the Test center.

My question is, does GMAC oblige test centers to allow such visits to test takers, and if so is it mentioned on the official website, or is it up to the Testing center whether to allow it or not.

Thanks,
NDND
Some of my students report being allowed to, and some say that they were turned away. I'm not aware of any official policy regarding visits to centers though, so it's likely that this is a center by center thing.

What you can definitely do is call a center directly and check whether they'll let you take a look around.

Thank you Guys,

I contacted the test centers, some permit the visit and welcome you. Meanwhile, those who are not used to such visits, accepted my visit when I explained my reasons, though they were a bit skeptical and uncomfortable.

I find such visits helpful; I had a look on the test center and its location and the registration/admission office, also had a look on the parking facility and how easy it is to park. Had a quick tour on the place and saw the break area and the WC locations, and finally, made sure the smoking areas are separated and far away from the break area. Also, they showed me the erasable note boards and pens.
