Hi xalemsharan,
Thank you for your note. You're in quite a similar situation as the previous poster to which I replied, so you might read my response there as well. You should read this post about the MBA admissions chances for Indian applicants. It will also help give you context for how much experience and what kind of GMAT scores applicants typically have. And how challenging and competitive the landscape is:
https://gmatclub.com/forum/mba-admissio ... 39142.htmlFirst, students at leading U.S. MBA programs have an average of about five years of work experience and an average age of around 28. (In Europe, the average age trends even a little higher.) The earliest point at which one can reasonably apply is when they have two full years of work experience, such that they enroll with three years of experience. But even that can be very, very difficult. Admissions committees want to see a real track record of experience, impact, advancement, promotion, leadership, and leadership potential. Focus on building that track record both inside your organization and in the community.
Second, it's difficult to provide a reasonable assessment when you don't really know how you're going to score. In general, I would try to target ~30 points above the average for whatever tier of programs you're interested in. That does not mean you're going to get in with those scores -- you still need to tell a great story and submit a great application -- but it's a helpful way to set your GMAT targets.
