We can let n = the weight of the teacher and create the equation:

(36 x 62 + n)/37 = 62.5

2232 + n = 2,312.5

n = 80.5

average increases form 62 to 62.5, so 0.5

total increase = 37 * .5 = 18.5

weight of the teacher= 62 + 18.5 = 80.5 = C the answer
