got this on my mock test and have absolutely no idea how to read this chart

Assalamualaikum everyone

In this chart, Bars tell you the sales in USD and Line Chart tells you the conversion rate of Yen to USD relative to the conversion rate in Q1 2008.

Suppose, the conversion rate in Q1 2008 is 100 Yen for 1 USD, then the conversion rate in Q4 2009 would be 117 Yen for 1 USD.

1st statement asks you the which of the quarter has the highest Q1 2008 yen-equivalent sales. So, you will need to calculate the Q1 2008 Yen equivalent for the suspective quarters, which in this case seems to be Q1-2009 & Q4-2009.

Q1 2008 yen-equivalent sales for Q4-2009 would be - 1.17*24 = 28.08

Q1 2008 yen-equivalent sales for Q1-2009 would be - 1.12*25 = 28

So, Q4-2009 has the highest Q1 2008 yen-equivalent sales.

For statement 2, since Q4-2009 has the highest sales so it has to be greater than Q4-2008 Yen Equivalent sales.

I need a help from you all , what all resources are you referring for DI section. As in OG there is questions for only Data Sufficiency section. What to refer for other sections?

If you have bought the OG book, you’ll find a scratch code which you can redeem on mba.com. That will give you access to the entire set of data insight questions which include MSR, graphical interpretation etc.
