Re: This table displays data on prize-winning 4-H livestock auctioned at [#permalink]
More pigs than goats were auctioned at the Maple County Fair. => No

We only know about the state share (%) and rank of the number sold of each animal

More than half of the sheep in the state were auctioned at the Maple County Fair. => No

Only 34% of the number of the state's sheep was auctioned

The Maple County Fair made more money from chicken sales than any other fair in the state. => No

The chicken's auction revenue only ranks 2nd

The table basically gives details on the livestock auctioned.

Table has two main divisions in each livestock.
First is the revenue received through auction: This is further sub divided into state share as % and a rank. State share means if 100% was total revenue, then the share by Maple county is 31% for chickens and 2 in rank, so there is some other county that has more share, that is more than 31%. Similarly for second part that speaks of numbers sold.

Poorly written as there shiuld have been some description of table, merely giving a table may not be sufficient. However, the point in the entire table is that you cannot compare a particular livestock with another livestock as you are not aware of the actual revenue or numbers. So, you cannot compare any two livestocks on the basis of the numeric values.
