I am a 27 year old female who is looking at online MBA degrees. I have worked my entire adult life in government (4+ years full-time), mostly legsialtive. I have held 3 jobs, each more challenging, higher up and with more responsibility than the one before it. My current employer would help me wth tuition and in the process install me as a technical assistant to the CFO so I could apply what I learn from the MBA and the job. Should that be included in an app essay?
My undergrad GPA from the University of Minnesota was 3.28, with a 3.75 over the last 60 hours. My major was history, so the only math course I took was freshman Calc.
I came late to the decision to go to B-school, so had a month to study for the test. I got a 560 overall, which I am find with, but my Quantitative was 32 scaled. Ouch! Honestly, considering I haven't taken a math class in 9 years I don't think it's that bad, but admissions people likely won't be as amazed.
I would like to know whether I should retake the GMAT or take an extension intro Business Math class, or just leave it and hope. How bad is a 31? I can't find anything about the scale. Thanks for your help.
