I'm really happy with the verbal and the overall, but I'm a little worried about the math score. Applying to top b-schools and not sure if they'll worry about that area. Please read below:
B'ground: Exec. Dir. for successful educational nonprofit for 10 years; helped start program 12 years ago. Tremendous track record of leadership and management. BUT... no math classes since high school, despite the fact that I've always been a numbers guy (just nerved up on the GMAT a little and ran out of time). Need an MBA to take my NP or a new NP nationwide. Like the social enterprise offerings at HBS and Northwestern (also applying to Columbia and Stanford).
Concerns: Age -- I'm 34 soon. Math -- will the AdComms dismiss my candidacy because of the 70th percentile mark and a lack of quant classes? GMAT -- because of that mark do I need to retake it?
PLEASE let me know what you think. Thanks so much for your time.
Short answer: no - they won't dismiss your candidacy because of your quant score. - just show that you're a numbers guy from whatever analytical work you've done on the job.
Btw, out of curiosity, can you PM me the educational nonprofit?
