edited by rhyme: Just thinking they may not want their real names publicly posted....... sorry to edit your post, maybe I'm being overcautious, but better safe than sorry. Maybe just PM him.

for essay 2, is it ok to use an example from college? logically it doesnt make sense with part C of the question, assuming if i had a MBA. just curious if people think the question implies that the response must be post college. thanks

Don't worry about the logic....off course you can't have an MBA before college....the question is what would you have done had you been equipped with the knowledge that an MBA can give you.

I would use your best example, college or work. I don't think the question implies that it must be post-college.

Had my interview on campus today with an alum. It was a great conversation - the 45 minutes flew by.

The only "questions" he really asked me were 1) Why an MBA? 2) Why now? & 3) Why Booth?

Other than that we just talked about my "story" and how I've arrived at this point in my life. He was very enthusiastic about the school & an overall nice guy.

Best of luck to those of you who still have to interview.

Is there a way to check that the interviewer has filed his/her report to Chicago. I just don't want to pass the deadline because of that. Thanks.

I don't think it would matter. I would recommend using a rather recent example - if college was five or six years ago (like me) they may ask why you are using such an old example.

Considering there are only 2 essays (besides ppt) I would strongly advise using a work related example.

I asked the adcom about this question during an info session. They said don't worry too much about the circumstance - mainly this is a behavioral question to demonstrate fit to Chicago Booth ( challenge everything, examine everything etc).

thanks for your help everyone! college was 3 years ago so that's why i'm think of pulling from there but i think i will end up using a work experience. this question has been brutal for me...question 1 and the ppt have been really easy. i guess part of it is that i live in chicago, work with, for, near, and under many Boothers.

I would just use your best judgment, I think a work example would be preferred if both examples were equal - but if you have a great academic example in comparison to your work one - I would go with the one that is more suitable to answer the question as best as you can.
