Taking a new job a year before going to school?

Hello,
I am 27, and am working on applying to various top schools depending on my scores, but my question relates to work experience. I have been working as a financial analyst at a large software company for the last 3.5 years with a fair amount of experience before this at two other smaller firms. Recently I have had discussions with my company about changing some of the functions that I do, a move from some of the monotonous budgeting/accounting that I currently do. They are saying that they want to move me to a role where I would be implementing recommendations from some Deloitte consultants across Finance to streamline processes, etc. However at the same time I have been looking at other roles in the area and may have a Sr Analyst position with another firm (Public Education Company). The new company would be offering a fair amount more money which my current company, after some discussions over the last few weeks, will not be willing to match. If I decide to go to the new company, would it look bad on my application work experience to show that I just changed firms even though I am fully ready to leave to school next fall? Or should I stay at my current firm, accept the lower pay (and sometimes the fact that things go unappreciated), and keep my work experience clean? Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you.
