Hey Guys,
I have a quick question. I am all ready to submit my application but my recommendations have not come in. One of my recommenders has been busy and would only get to it this weekend. Does this push me to the next round or does Tuck allow recommendations to come in a little after the deadline.

Thanks

I would email and ask.

I think they will give you a leeway of a couple days, but after that your application will be pushed to the next round.

RF

Thanks Refurb.. I did call them today and they said a few days would be fine.

Does Tuck give out decisions on a single date? Or can anyone expect to hear earlier? This is for EA round.
thanks

When I logged into my applyyourself page, I saw an application complete status.
I believe that was the last update.

This thread is really quiet this year... I think that we were around page 20 the same period last year!
Has any international applicant received an invitation for interview yet?

Applicants in general, are posting less this year in the forum compared to last year. Last year, so many applicants posted so many posts, in topics related to bschool, admissions, random misc stuff, and etc. Ahhhh....last year....good times, good times. :-D

Hi all,

I'm applying to Tuck in the November round, and I visited in October. I have a question for those of you who have also visited. I feel that the circumstances of my class visit were less than ideal. Not only was it an 8:30am accounting class (ouch!), but I was also distracted because my interview was right after the class. It seemed like the environment was very laid-back and friendly, but the students didn't seem very engaged. Again, 8:30am accounting, so I'm not sure what real conclusions I can draw from this!

Anyway, I would love to hear what others thought of their class visits. Thanks!

This really made me laugh! Yeah, your Tuck experience will vary greatly depending on what class you sit in on. Both the accounting professors are good teachers, but the material has its limitations. It also depends on when you visit. If you come during a week of intense recruiting events and mid-terms, you'll find a lot of stressed Tuckies who aren't at their prime.

Definitely makes sense. I thought the professor was great. It did seem like the students were pretty stressed out, so maybe it wasn't a great time to visit. Thanks refurb :)

I attended a second year Strategy class on my school visit and I also sat in on two mini-classes (about 40 minutes each) on Operations and Leadership when I attended the Tuck diversity conference. I thought all of these classes were very discussion oriented, open ended and engaging. I would echo that Accounting as a subject has limitations, I have heard that people who attend "Decision Science" a first year core class, really enjoy the experience. I don't want to sell Tuck too much because I don't want to compete with people on here but, I think what you experienced at 8:30 am in the Accounting class was less than ideal!

It seems to be a common trend, BW forum is also very quiet compared to previous years. As applications volume does not seem to have dropped significantly I just guess that people are less willing to share their experiences this year...

For international applicants: anyone who has applied in NOV round has received an interview invit yet?
Based on previous years experience interview invits come very quickly after the deadline (1 or 2 weeks), and we have almost reached the two weeks. Moreover noone has never been admitted without an interview...
Shall I consider that it is my first ding? :( :(

Hi All,

I got a Tuck interview invite (committee-initiated) today. I am an international applicant. Any tips to ace the interview.

Thanks.
