Re: Profile Evaluation for Top 15 program [#permalink]
Your work experience isn't really a concern for the top 16.

GMAT needs to be in the high 600s at least, ideally 700+. You're competing against a lot of other finance dudes who will have scored well on the GMAT, and if your GMAT isn't competitive, you'll basically need a LOT of luck on your side (i.e. you take huge risks with your essays, *and* those risks pays off because the adcom who happened to read your app loves it).

If your GMAT is competitive, then you at least have a more reasonable shot at the top 16 schools, at least with the bottom half (Haas, Michigan, Duke, Darden, NYU, UCLA, Cornell, Yale)

Focus on the GMAT. Do whatever it takes to get at least a high 600s at a minimum, and 700+ if you can. Enroll in GMAT prep classes, or hire a private GMAT tutor if need be.

Retake the GMAT and shoot for a 700+, and ideally a 720+ if you want to be even considered given your profile/background.
