Should I even bother to consider the Top 10 schools?

A little bit about me. I went to a state university for my first 2 years. I ended up quitting the program and worked part time for the government as a security officer. Roughly six months into that, I decided to go to school to be an electrician. After a semester, that did not fit me well. Eventually I applied back to the state university to get into their business college. Got denied, spoke with the Dean who recommended I go to a community college, do some general transfer courses and then apply again. Did that for a year and a half. Applied back to the university and finish my degree in May 2009. All during this I continued doing grunt work as a security officer. Almost a year has passed and I have yet to find a job in the banking industry. I believe it is due to my lack of experience in the field along with a low GPA.
1st year GPA was 3.4, 2nd year was under 2.0 causing me to drop out. My community college GPA was 3.5 and my Finance major GPA was 3.11. Clearly not the best GPA but made some improvements.
I have been considering to take the GMAT and apply to several programs. Booth, Stern, Kellogg, Harvard. However looking at some of the members here who get accepted I believe I do not even stand a chance. I guess I want to go back to school and redeem myself, because at my current state it is not who I truthfully am. But I feel as the damage has been done and can not be undone.
