Note: this could be coincidental but both the admits have a high GMAT score (730).

For all those under 700 and interviewed, this could be an issue. I was thinking LBS is bigger than GMAT but I guess in the last round, GMAT might be the deal maker/breaker.

Hi all sorry to hear about the R3 dings. I guess it does come down to little bit of luck by R3 because after R1 and R2, a large proportion of the class is already decided. Good luck for other apps.

Did anyone get an "encouragement to apply next year" from the Adcom?

My ding e-mail was generic and no mention of re-application. Really confused as online instructions for re-ap says we invite/encourage strong candidates to re-apply!!

Scary...

Anyone like to share their experience of a ding letter and whether it does/does not mention the re-application!

Thank you for submitting your application for a place on the Full-time MBA Programme at London Business School commencing in August 2010 (MBA2012).

I recieved a genric message (see below) with no mention of reapplication.

Following your interview, members of the MBA Admissions Committee have carefully considered your application. It is with regret that we have been asked by the Committee to inform you that they are not able to offer you a place on the MBA Programme this year. Once again, our applicant pool has been of an extremely high calibre, and competition has been very rigorous.

I had the same generic email!

It seems that there were only about 13 seats left for the whole R3 and R4 + waitlist. May be the data in the following link is not really trustful but that is at least something to consider (and given that several post were deleted after forum admins were contacted by LBS, I assume the data given was real):
Start reading from post #26
https://forums.businessweek.com/n/pfx/fo ... w-bschools

Also keep in mind - the post stating that after R2 payment deadline only 387 students were mentioned on LBS intern portal as confirmed - means that we all (and an upcoming R4 +waitlisters) had only 13 places to fill (or a bit more if those who already paid the money will decline the offer)

Any thoughts? Has any one been able to receive any feedback? Given that 740 is now still not enough, what is the LBS profile now?

Just upset me.....

Congrats sunshinemoods. But I have not received one yet. I should have gotten an invite or a rejection by now. True? Because they let you know in each case. By the way, do you think that ,because I have not received an invitation yet, I should lose hopes?
