Hi,

I have few questions about the application form to fill in :

1/ How long do you answer specific questions such as “about your current and past employments” ? or the “about you” questions ? is there any words limit again ?

2/ I feel like some of the answers are redundant with my essays or my cv (especially the employment section). Any advice ?

Please let me know if these questions have already been asked and answered in previous posts.

Hi arnaudl, in the section about responsibilities and day-to-day role, I wrote about 320 words in total (or ~2000 characters with spaces). This consisted of bullet points under the headings of 'Responsibilities', 'Reporting Structure' and 'Major Clients'. My notes in this area were fairly general. In contrast, my CV focused less on generalities more on specific achievements and metrics. The essays then elaborated on a couple of the responsibilities I listed in the employment section. There will be overlap between the different application components, but I'd still make sure that the employment section gives a complete, albeit high-level list of everything you get up to in your job.

Nope, he has to submit within the deadline from my understanding. Stay on it, you don't want to miss the round because of that!

actually, no.. The deadline for r4 was 06 April 2010. Where did u get this information from?

For round 1 and 2 they sent decisions for interviews as well as final decisions on the actual date stipulated on the website. In fact they sent them out relatively late in the day. So I would assume rounds 3 and 4 are the same.

They always wait until the deadline and then send out replies to everyone at the same time - no rolling admissions here.

In the past I've heard they sometimes send their response out the evening before the deadline. I'm hoping for that - the wait is agonising!

Hmmm ... so until now there are 21 admitted folks from gmatclub and 18 wait-listed. :-) not bad! any news from the R1 waitlisted, any admits, any dings?

Negative on status-change here. you should double what you have counted. It seems there are waitlisters on other forums that don't have accounts here. I personally counted 5 unique IDs for R2 alone.

Also I am back on gmatclub after months away getting fat through both new year and chinese new year. it seems 20 lbs later, the news hasn't changed. Shout out to BSD_Lover, thanks for meeting me on campus once again.

FYI, I am R1 watilister. And the next review date is April 15th. I swear I will wait it out till the bitter end!

Further, I am noticing that the admits for R2 seemed to be applicants with more experience. I feel MBA2012 is a very "mature" academic year >.< Wine anyone?

I used it to the boxes in the application to go wild since there's no word limit. For my essays, I made sure they were around the word count, told a nice story, showed my personality, etc. In the application form, I treated it as a dumping ground for everything I couldn't fit into the the essay structure or the tone of my essays.
