Is a 720+ score worth the hassle?

Just from a test taking perspective, making big changes in the last two weeks is generally not a good idea. You should study, but you shouldn't make such a big deal about the 750 that you end up underperforming.

In real general terms, the higher your GMAT score, the better. However, competitive Business Schools look for strong OVERALL applicants, so beyond having a competitive GMAT score, you need to have a strong OVERALL application and you need to properly 'market yourself' to each individual School that you plan to apply to. If the only aspect of your application that 'stands out' is a high GMAT score, then a slightly higher score likely won't do much for you (so your focus would need to shift to making other aspects of your application stronger).
