Hello
tonmayachaturvediConsider the following-
1) On the work experience front your work profile looks pretty good, and I am sure you have enough achievements and stories to talk about (hence fodder for essays). However whether you require a second MBA highly depends on what are your short/long term goals and does an MBA necessarily fit in there. Simply brand shopping might not be the best idea. With no info on that front, tough to say anything.
2) Your list of schools is too varied in some places- you may need to come up with a tighter list of schools that match your profile, credentials and goals.
3) Fresh into a new stint, why would you consider an MBA at this stage.
4) What sort of GMAT score are you expecting- though not the be all end all of admissions, it will play a critical role.

Hello,
I am looking for some guidance by me looking at my profile and advising on 2 aspects- Firstly, to opt for a second MBA degree or not & secondly type of colleges that I can apply to. My profile is listed below :
29, Indian, Male
Graduation in Hotel Management (B.SC HHA) from one of the top college in India (IHM Bangalore) scored a first division (62%) from 2006-2009. Thereafter I
enrolled myself in a fulltime PGDM (from 2009-2011 in Marketing as majors & Operations as Minors) from a 2 tier institute in India
Having worked in corporate since last 7 years now in Sales/ Business Development roles across different sectors ranging from Manufacturing, Hospitality, Digital Marketing & now with Financial domain, have gathered some sound learnings in aspect of setting up of a startup firm, ground root execution of activities for laying down work processes. Was promoted from the position of Assistant Manager to Manager handling PAN INDIA campaign executions. Have worked on the projects which involved Big ticket Size Deals in getting Brand campaigns from FMCG majors like HUL, Abbott India.
Having worked with Hospitality sector, it immensely helped me in the development of my communication & Interpersonal skills. At the moment, I alongwith one of my business consultant we have started Mutual Fund Distributorship consultancy, were we advise clients on the best mutual fund schemes to invest in depending on the Risk appetite, Investment Objective of the client. As this venture is relatively new, but we have onboarded 10 clients within a span of 2 month, I shall be scaling it up more now, during my MBA Stint and post that as well.
Previous to Excel Net Solutions, I have worked with Startups like OYO, Ahoy Telecom and Exide Batteries (in capacity of Management Trainee Marketing).
I was involved as a Placement Coordinator during my graduation for representing college to corporates for recruitments. In furtherance, I was also actively involved in extra curricular activities by being part of Inter college cricket team. During MBA, I was involved in Cultural & Sports Club with organizing events & sports tournaments whilst participating in them as well.
As for hobbies I am passionate about travelling and have International exposure through Europe and Mauritius trips respectively. I have been trained in Latin forms of Dance- Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba etc and have performed during Some dance festivals (no idea how this shall help) but this is purely as a part to fulfill my artistic desire.
Can you please let me know that whether there is a need for 2nd MBA degree (which i strongly feel is in terms of having it from a reputed college to have robust opportunities in desired roles) and whether my profile would be good enough to get admission in top B schools of India (likes of ISB Hyderabad, IIM Ahemdabad, IIM Kolkata) & abroad (INSEAD, Wharton, University of Melbourne, Columbia Business School). My preference is for the topmost courses in Marketing & Business Strategy across the best B schools since I would like to make a career in this field post the executive MBA.
Thank You in Advance !
