Retaking gmat in a month from today!

Retaking gmat in a month from today! [#permalink] New post   03 Aug 2018, 13:31
Hi
I scored very low 600 today on the gmat with 27 in verbal and 45 in quant and 1 in IR.i feel Lost and dunno what to analyse and where to start from .my Mocks scores fluctuated from 560 to 660 in the last four months.i have done Kaplan, og and manhattan (verbal) plus all these mocks too. I’ve enrolled for egmat verbal online.hope that suffices!
Please advise!

Hello Sharky1234 ....... any course would be fine ......E-GMAT enjoys a very good reputation.... For Math I think GC Club book is very good .

I am sorry to hear that the test did not go as expected. E-GMAT verbal is an amazing course. My suggestion is to go through the entire course very diligently. Their SC course is very exhaustive and would take an upward of 75 hours to complete , but if you complete the course fully , you will have a very good grasp of the subject. Same goes for RC as well.

Really sorry to hear mate!
but that also tells that you have a lot of scope for initial improvement. Gmat hates us..guess we just have work harder :hurt:

A couple of pointers from my side
1. E-gmat course is quite good and will sure help if you do it diligently. Can say it from personal experience.
2. OG, Verbal guide and quant guide are really good for practice
3. For mocks, if possible go for the Gmatprep Exam packs.

I'm sorry to hear that Test Day did not go as well as hoped. Before we can discuss how best to improve, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied?
2) What specific study materials (books, courses, CATs, etc.) have you used so far?
3) How have you scored on EACH of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your goal score?
5) When are you planning to retake the GMAT?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
7) What Schools are you planning to apply to?
