Hi there - would love some feedback. I recently scored 700 on the GMAT (42Q, 44V, 7IR), and am wondering if I should retake. I know I sound mildly neurotic, but I'm worried that my Q is so low (43%) and will be a red flag for schools!
I am Indian-American (US Citizen), 4 years work exp in healthcare (international and domestic), and am applying to LBS, Stanford, Yale, Kellogg, Haas, and Oxford.
Thanks!
Hello
venivinnyviciYou dont sound midly neurotic, we are only talking about your future life here, so no need for much concern, right ?
You have great application list.
For LBS and Oxford you could be fine with 700 score, since average for LBS is 708 and average for Oxford is 692.
For American counterparts it is different story.
Stanford has highest average GMAT score of all schools on the planet, that is 737.
Yale has average of 730, range is 690-760.
Kellogg average is 732 but range is from 600 to 780, which is very interesting.
Haas has 725 as latest average, it use to be 715.
If you are serious about US schools it is advisible to retake and try to score a little bit higher on quant.
Importance of quant section will also depend on your intended MBA specialization, for instance for Finance it could be of primary importance.
Good Luck....let your story be veni vidi vici !
u1983 thank you for your kind words.
