first 2 cents....I have taken numerous and that too from legends, yes the demi gods of gmatland ( no names, plz ).....they will just run u through a set of questions and then let u know what is right, what is wrong....furthermore, they wll ask u to have a set ready that has bugged u, and wll try to dissect those.....not worth....my take, though.
2 things that worked and that I vld amass after burning a hole in my pocket.
for sc....to parse is the key...PARSING....breaking down the answer choices acc to modifiers, parallelism, sv agreement....u dont solve...u just take up a topic say modifier and take 20
og qns....just see, if u can identify which are the modifiers, what all are they modifying....check off the ones which u think are not modifying correctly and move on....dont solve the qn....after going through all 20 check the answers and see whether u havent checked off the right answer....do this exercise for every topic like parralelism..sv etc ...this will strengthen ur fundamentals to the core and then will help u to identify the misplaced modifier or incorrect parallelism everytime....once u are ok...then go through next 50 qns and try to find if u can identify the errors when diff set of errors are mixed in a single prob.....this is the way to ho
u can chk, what I am saying, the video "new way to do sc"...from thursdays with ron
btw, u can get in touch with irene orleansky....a gifted teacher...she stays very busy and is usually packed....6 minths she promotes her musical band, travelling to diff countries....rest of the time at israel she teaches gmat verbal....very economical..teaches over skype...I didnt take tuitions from her as I didnt have any dollar left...but from many closed sources, I have heard gr8 things of her.
