This problem can be solved in < than 20 seconds, if you aware of the fact that (0.625) = 5/8 or 62.5%

Since one more 0 is present before 6, multiply the denominator, 8, by 10.
5/80 = 1/16

Ans is (C).

1/4 is 0.25
so 1/8 is 0.125
so 1/16 should be 0.0625 - Option C)

$$0.0625 = \frac{625}{10000} = \frac{25 * 25}{100 * 100} = \frac{1}{4*4} = \frac{1}{16}$$

One more method (rather interesting)

0.0625 is a perfect square of 0.25

Its simplification would also yield a perfect square

Only $$\frac{1}{16}$$ fits in (Its perfect square of $$\frac{1}{4}$$)

Another way of doing this

625 is square of 25.. Hence 0.0625= (25*25)/(100*100)= 1/16..

I think kinjiGC gave the smartest solution here, which is why I gave him some kudos!

I did reach the same in 2 ways, by saying that 0.0625 = 625*10^-4, which obviously is 625/10000.

However, as I am not quick with numbers, didn't know that 10000/625 is 16... And, I didn't think of dividing by 625 anyway base on the answer options.

So, as the divisions were easy, I just started doing them from B on. I found it quite quickly, but hat's off to kinjiGC!!!
