Thank you for your post.

Yes, the tests are not adaptive, deliberately so, and we have addressed the reasons in various places. The pre-planned tests give us greater control over the quality and the rigorous algorithm ensures that the score obtained is a reasonable reflection of one's potential on the real GMAT; the performance and feedback of 1000+ students corroborates that. This is the first time we have seen any student be bothered about this (or, for that matter, say anything negative about the software), possibly because you have not read the reasoning carefully.
