A train travels from City A to City B at a constant speed of 60 miles per hour and returns from City B to City A at a constant speed of 40 miles per hour. The total travel time for the round trip is 7 hours. What is the one-way distance between City A and City B in miles?

(A) 240 miles
(B) 210 miles
(C) 168 miles
(D) 125 miles
(E) 88 miles

Let distance between a and b is x;

thus we have x/60+x/40 = 7

or 4x+6x = 7*240
10x = 1680
or x= 168

hence C
