any stats on previous waitlist movements..does an international candidate have a chance to come off the waitlist in May-June..given the time it takes for visa formalities etc. Some help would be appreciated. Thanks!

how quick you're invited for an interview doesn't show that their interest to you is more than the others. they review applications on a random pattern, so you never know when you're going to get called for an interview.

at least that is what i read.

Yeah, I would tend to agree. I submitted on the last day too. I also got the invite for booth on the first day and was still massacred.

Can't you see that schools that invite just a few days after the deadline invite first people with high GMAT maybe GPA? Before fully reviewing their essays

Has anyone on this ship tried e-mailing admissions or our wait list manager?

R2 applicant, waitlisted. My GMAT is 700 (Q49 V37 AWA6.0). Should I retake?

Hard to say because you're slightly below the avg gmat score but certainly well within the 80% range. A 700 gmat does not automatically disqualify you. A friend was just admitted on Friday with a gmat score at the lower end of the 80% range but had killer work experience and pretty good EC's. I would assess the strength and weaknesses of your overall profile and then ask for feedback from the adcom regarding your application. If they are concerned about your academic abilities (low GPA or low GMAT), they may suggest retaking the GMAT. However, if they say that you had a strong profile but was simply outshined by stronger applications the better bet is to write update letters discussing notable projects at work or at your EC's.

For those WL'd and looking for feedback on their applications, should we be emailing the standard admissions email address or the one specifically provided in the WL faq?
